Creating an official ranked version of Dominion is not a small undertaking. Champions and their kits are created primarily with Summoner's Rift in mind. The AH, particularly the RMAH, also rendered Blizzard virtually impotent regarding the ability to make changes to items (especially if a nerf was warranted) - lest they face potential legal issues.

Don't do what Donny Dont does

I don't miss the Auction House one bit. I found virtually nothing (re: three legendaries, with one being decent) before the pre-patch leading to the expansion. The compensation to no AH was an increased drop rate otherwise, and the satisfaction of finding your own stuff.

Amusingly enough, Kormac is also the most useful follower for solo players trying to rank up.

Granted it isn't Jerry's magnificent coif from the show, but that's definitely Jerry Seinfeld's current hairstyle.
