Something has been bugging me about Laura Lee and the plane, and this may have been brought up but this is the first AV Club article on the show I’ve been participating in, mostly due to I just binged the whole series this last week, but...

Yeah, Roman totally made that call to push Gerri and sabotaged himself on purpose.

Well, now I think we have a different concept of what an anti-hero is. In my mind an anti-hero is one who thinks and behaves in a morally ambiguous or out-right criminal way, yet the audience connects or identifies with, and celebrates the anti-hero’s behaviour. As you mention Walter White in Breaking Bad. Not only is

I’m fine with the show turning on Midge.  She is after all based on Joan Rivers, and for all Joan Rivers talent and her importance to women in Comedy she was also a narcissistic asshole who’s entire late career was saying terribly awful things about people.  Of course they could have called Suzie to cancel her

Season 1 was a slog, but interesting enough to stick to, but I genuinely started liking the show with season 2.  Season 3 wasn’t quite as good overall for me, but has some really good moments.

Yes. Each season gets better than the one before it.

I could not stop laughing at the rallying speech from Ready Player One.

I was going with “my friend’s dad who used to be a bank manager, who despite owning lots of hunting rifles and ranting about keeping his home safe from ‘the Ruskies’ in the 80s, surprsed everyone by being kinda cool when his son came out”

I was going to go with “Televangelist Southern Preacher”, but that works too.
