it doesn't use that much more space but it is true that the resized metro apps get larger on a larger screen and gadgets do not.

I'm not completely sure about this but i think there is a keyboard shortcut in windows that will restore all windows, or cascade all windows.

I'm not trying to prove anything, I'm just saying that microsoft has provided a good replacement for a crappy system that is no longer available due to unpopularity.

I agree that metro does not work very well on RDC but your icons should not move so if you place them all on one desktop they will always be there.

That's impressive cause i have seen then take up as much as 2gb of ram

Then snap the weather app to the far side and let the desktop app take the other 3/4. Yet again it uses no more space than the gadgets did

have you ever heard of desktop shortcuts? they're a thing, check them out.

gadgets were crappy resource hogs if they made them right (like google desktop did) then they would be useful, most the time when your game lags its because that gadget monitoring the cpu is loading your ram full of crap.

just open the metro ui on your second monitor, or open the weather app and snap it to the far side it will use no more of your screen than the horrible gadget pane from vista did.

Thank you, that thing about the win8 app switcher not including win7 programs and just the "desktop app" it the only annoyance I have about windows 8. (also avid linux user)

lol

Yeah stickers should be fine.

You better check your pants then.

That doesn't mean it won't happen.

It's actually a greek style chili that was popularized by a greek immigrant's cincinnati restaurant "skyline" named for the view of the cincinnati skyline that was clearly visible from the restaurant's location at the top of price hill.

I just won

Skyline (greek chili) is the best meal ever invented, but though it is a form of chili I would not compare it to chili con carne or chili con frijoles because they are just not similar enough. CINCINNATI REPRESENT!
