“I’m holding a thermal detonator!”

That felt good. I’m better now. I will go drink some chamomile tea in a hot coconutepsom salt bath and read a novelization of My Diner With Andre by candle light.

gawkmodo is really getting screwed up with its absolutism. this was a good place to talk to other people who are disturbed by trump, but the journalism here has really embraced some terrible logic. there are shades of context you can embrace while still holding ideals where that context leads some to be less or more

The irony is that Markakis thought owning all those guns would make him a safe cracker.

Yeah, I was gonna say - I think they’re just trying to stay within traditional journalistic lines, and calling him a white nationalist would be criticized as a partisan/subjective statement. I think a lot of people want this kind of reporting less and less b/c we’ve become so accustomed to consuming partisan news

And it’s not like they didn’t try and go all in the year before by getting Cousins. Or do a solid job of filling his injury void with Mirotic. Or made one of the better value signings last summer in Randle.

The finale of Angel would get my vote for best TV show finale of all time. The av club at one time agreed:

I and all my 3 siblings are ALL over 50 years of age. ***NONE OF US EVER HAD THE MEASLES***. Why? We were VACCINATED against it as little kids. When I and my younger brother were born (1965 and ‘66) the vaccine had already been available for 2 years. When my two older siblings were born, it was 1-2 years away.

It’s also worth noting that you’re a total asshole who needs to shut the fuck up.

Before the release, yall were ecstatic and jubilant that Mueller was going to can Trump. And now...

Tesla CEO Elon Musk really, really wants to keep tweeting without any other adults looking over his shoulder

We- as a society- do a very bad job of evaluating the present against the past. And the major reason we do is because only the best of the past usually gets filtered to us. Aretha and Otis could fucking sing and made good music, and that’s why we remember them. There was also a lot of bad music from that period that

FYI, there’s nothing less interesting than somebody trying to pretend that they love being called an asshole. Dennis Leary covered that ground about 25 years ago, and it wasn’t that fresh back then. You aren’t as edgy as you think.

Yelling WOOOOOOOO! in the coach’s face I assume

They could just wait for a review.

Wait, hold up. Those Chevy commercials told me they won the JD Power Most Reliable award. You mean to tell me those awards are worthless? What about those normal people and their important opinions?

Its in our nature to be violent and enjoy it. Like someone said above, its a replacement for war, but I would disagree. Its a replacement for our primal and tribal instincts. As is most competitive sports. Our team hates that team. Our guy is better than your guy. Challenge me! I say its not a replacement for war

I love conspiracy movies, especially the ones from the 70s, so for a long time Winter Soldier was my favorite Marvel movie (I don’t consider the comparison to be quite as nonsensical as Tom Breihan evidently does). That said, I can’t deny that Guardians had the bigger impact, and it was a very fun movie in its own

When I read the APD was supposedly stepping up patrols in the area to catch this weirdo, my B.S. detector went off. They ain’t doing crap about this. They’re too busy harassing, beating, and shooting the people they’re meant to protect.

I've lived in several different parts of the city and the SE quadrant is by far the most unsettling
