That’s why I put it in quotes. Anyway, I guess carry on hating and overestimating the presence of non-normative people? It’s the path of least resistance.

I’m saying that the “mommy wars” aren’t driven by people without children, that the person disapproving of you on an airplane is probably a parent who thinks they’re better at keeping their easy baby quiet, etc.
Honestly? Theres a contingent on this site whose first encounter with how harsh/hard living in this society is was parenthood. Instead of then thinking, “what did I miss before?” they decide parenting is the actual only and hardest thing.
I think a lot of people just think his motherhood comments are kind of...benevolently sexist, if you will.
This is otherwise on point, but...childfree people don’t drive the majority of criticism and judgment mothers face. It’s just not statistically possible, and out of line with the very human impulse to most harshly judge what you think you’ve done better. We dont have to throw them under the bus to prove its hard out…
I think probably being a parent is one way for rigorous people who want to do be/do good to reach their potential, but honestly history’s about half and half with average to good and average to bad parents.
Thank you! I’m a runner and a pretty frequent lifter, but I have a freakishly short torso. There’s just no way it’s gonna look swimsuit issue good, because there’s not enough of it. It’s like...boobs and hips with a 2x4 in between, and no amount of exercise will lengthen that thing and make it all curvy and absy and…
Words don’t exist in a vacuum, nor do they work how you think they do. There certainly are ways to insult individuals that only apply to them, you just didn’t find one.
Given that the passenger wasn’t given the choice and isn’t the one being accused of anything, it seems like you’re being intentionally obtuse.
Let me guess: you also really miss the days when flight attendants were young and pretty, and feel personally aggrieved when strangers don’t dress up to sit by you on the plane?
No, you should find a way to disrespect this woman without dragging thousands of others through the mud while you’re at it.
Eh, maybe not the best comparison in this particular sport. They spend money, but they lack the centralized focus other countries have on the sport/training the athletes.
Only one fan’s two cents, but a lot of it has to do with how consistently they train as and are monitored as a team.
Yes! I don’t think people fully understand, also, the amount of pressure an athlete like her is under when they were chosen for the team for a single event.
