@jamiesoncostello: Yes, yes I did! But I did not insult people specifically. I insulted people, in general, who might be dumb enough not to appreciate how risky something like that was and who might want to emulate....because such people are out there.

Too bad the very disturbed individual couldn't be talked down. I guess the guy had to be shot.

@dasarp: Broke the nano? They squashed it like a bug!

@Clancycoop: Cool. I'm sure that works for you. But I don't want a cell phone contract. And I need a device that supports ANT+ sensors for a bicycle or what have you.

@BiggieShorty: That's my question too. Perhaps the mic on the back of the device is sensitive enough to pick up sounds from the front?

I don't agree with you Kyle. The new version doesn't make a lot of sense. It's too close in design to the shuffle, the screen is too small for multi-touch, they didn't keep the same screen dimensions as the last then, a device this small could have used bluetooth.....

@Dabamasha: Only if the thing supports apps designed for it. Then I can see the utility of it. I don't suppose it has bluetooth. Ahyone?

@defensa24: More like a well...nano iPad.

Why the hell didn't they at least keep the screen size of the last gen nano? A small device based on the last gen screen would have been better and you would have still been able to watch videos on it.

Yeah. But it still can't replace a dedicated cycling computer. It's looking like I'm going to get the new garmin 800 series cycling computer. So on a long cycling trip I'd have the iPod touch and the garmin 800. If the iPod touch could have GPS and some good software while supporting ANT+ devices then finally have

Awesome sauce!!!

@thirdchild: A zombie apocalypse. I've been waiting for one of those myself....patiently. The survivors of the Katrina disaster down south probably had some good training to prepare them for a zombie apocalypse. All those mobs of people and all...

Why would we want a dedicated device still? Because there are some people who do not want a friggin cell phone contract just to play music and video!

I'm so bored a near apocalyptic catastrophe that has the LHC tearing a hole in space time and imploding an entire nearby city might actually peak my interest.

@Hewhoishere: Hush now. The topic is over and your late to the party.

Awesome layout. That's basically what my underground headquarters would look like. Although they kinda wimped out at 98 feet. I would made it half a mile down or more.

@wishinghand: I used the reference from "The Fly II" to try to paint a horrific picture out there for any would be daredevil armchair scientist thinking about trying to duplicate the experiment without fully understanding the underlying scientific principles.

@vietiscool: Huh?? When did this drift into something about evolution?
