What you’re describing is documented : it is something akin to what we call compassion fatigue, a well known effect of trying to push the compassion of one individual too far with too many subjects.

I agree! The depth of his pop culture knowledge, especially related to comics, is fantastic, and it’s always a pleasure to see what he will manage to bring to light every time on these subjects.

To be fair, I’m not sure Rose was ever meant to be a main character. But you’re right that she was put to an almost invisible role by JJ “for reasons”. What a mess a movie RoS is, I’m still baffled by it!
