Hmm do you have any source for that?
Because nowadays you can only chose between two packs : the Entry Pack for stupid people (conservative, religious, racist, sexist, conspiracy inclined, “Trumptard”, anti-abortion, anti-vaxx, far-right and if possible “white” - if not, just “brainwashed by white supremacy”) or the Ultimate Pack for intelligent people…
Yeah, I’m generally not on board with Kotaku writers’ ideas, but here it was too much on the nose to see it any over way. The logo is really anything but covert.
You have just proven my point. But no worries, I know it comes from a good place.
That argument is getting a bit old now. To honor Karl Popper on that matter, I’d agree in theory, but in practice, the ones deciding what is to be considered as intolerant have to be veeeery careful if they don’t want to become intolerant themselves.
I really think you’ve been reading my comments the wrong way, which is weird. I have never even implied I was oppressed, and I wonder where in all my comments you have find anything that could mean that...
I agree(d). Which is why we have to stop the “far-right” and prevent the “far-left” now.
Until the reins of power and state sanctioned violence (police, military, etc) change side. Any ideology based on hate will end up being violent when a) it becomes the dominant one, or b) it finds a context revolutionary enough.
I think you answer the wrong comment, since you’re answering the last questions of the OC ;)
I think we have a disagreement on the definition of stereotype.
Well the video does not say that those things are wrongly considered stereotypical of “White Guys” by far-right recruiters, they do agree with the stereotypes, and use them as such. And coming from an ideology “fighting against stereotypes”, it is ironic.
I watched the video, but there is nothing in the video that directly refute the existence of these stereotypes. And if you use the same stereotypes than the far-right, then your ideology differs from theirs just by interpretation, not by fundamentals.
Ok, I really need to get more specific (but then my comments are multiple page long!). I wasn’t speaking about ANY stupid and shallow fights, but the ones relevant to the topic at hand : mainly people screaming at each other they are wrong about concepts like “race” or sexuality (and topics directly related to that).…
Hi. I am curious. I have seen you do that quite lot around this blog. Why is that? Is it because one bad take about one subject is enough to dismiss someone’s ideas about anything else? Is it because you think you can decide what a bad take is or is not? Is it because you think some people shouldn’t be able post their…
I admit it wasn’t my best sentence. I just wanted to say that stupid and shallow fights between anonymous people on social media have spread to the real world of politics, social policies and universities, to the point that it looks more and more like we can’t have any real debate between people that hold any kind of…
I would say that by and large, we do agree on a lot of things. Politics has always been a constant struggle, when one dominant ideology becomes the “underdog” after some time.
Hey, thanks for the lengthy answer, I love those! :)
I wasn’t aware of that game! The trailer is incredible and I’m so happy that it exists! It’s almost impossible to understand if it’s a criticism of people talking like that or a criticism of current so-called “egalitarian” movements! A wonderful summary of the shit going on on social media! :)
I know, it would be really interesting. I’m still not sure what setting would be best though...
