Because the claim doesn’t look credible to me, since every single article I have found clearly states that cheating is rampant on PC, and less prevalent on console, and that the difference gets bigger the more popular the game is.

And that’s exactly why I prefer to play on console. Less hackers, more stable games (generally) without going through countless possible configurations, and no fear of lack of compatibility.
