But at the same time you're giving your potential aggressors the same tools, as efficient as yours, so what's the point?

You're right, but handing them more efficient and easy to use tools to do it isn't certainly the solution to the problem!

Come on, because your gun is not powerful enought to destroy the target you chose doesn't mean that its purpose has changed.

And can I ask you why you didn't buy a line-throwing gun (and not a gun that can throw line AND fire REAL bullets) and a flare gun (and not a shotgun that can fire flares)? I mean, if your purpose is to throw lines and to fire flares, why the need to have guns that can do something else? Again, no sarcasm here, just

Ok, I'm getting sleepy right now, so... are you serious?

Hey, don't be hard on me, I haven't been in this situation, so well, who knows, maybe the survival instincts would win the moral battle here.

Ok, I had this argument with someone else here, can we make something clear :

About the first knives, I'm just repeating paleontologists and archeologists... would find you somes sources but it's 3:30 am here, and fatigue is beginning to show.

Come on, after so many posts you can't be serious? I mean, a gun is used exceptioally in a different manner than originally purposed, and suddenly everything changed?

May I ask how the gun on the site you sent me is any different from the other guns that are produced as a weapon? No sarcasm here, I'm not a target shooter myself, so I'd really want to know? Is it impossible to put real bullets in it? I mean why would this gun not be a weapon and the other would be one?

First of all, I agree with what you say about the police and guns. Maybe here we could think of something like : law-enforcement officers should have more force thant criminals because they're enforcing the law. But still, slippy subject, I agree.

We are in disagreement here : the purpose of guns is not to fire projectile. It is to destroy a target by firing a projectile. So by definition guns are violent tools.

You're right... but why make it easier than it could be?

@Tobias

First, thanks for all the respectful talk, that's always nice when you find someone with whom you can discuss a subject without the discussion becoming pointless.

Ok, I got my answer then : trolling... sad, I was having fun argumenting.

Thanks for your long, logical and well-explained post, sir.

Ok, you sure you're not trolling there, right?

"So yes, guns are designed to kill, but you can use them in different ways. And that, sorry to insist, is a fact.

"Killing is what it is - a part of survival"
