I LOVE Tim Roth. Brilliant actor. Even with that, I don’t think he would have matched or been better than Rickman. Rickman had that “it” thing in that role that just made him Snape.

I suspect that Rickman wanted a more nuanced performance (which he does better than most) and the directors were playing to “kids” and asked for it to be more broad. He really didn’t get to do much until the last couple of movies, the progression wasn’t as smooth as in the books.

No one takes issue with her expressing her own experience in her art, the issue is her calling it a bisexual anthem when it promotes dangerous and ridiculous stereotypes abut bisexual women. IE they only do it under the influence or to get men’s attention.
