I think it’s definitely a little goofy, but as soon as his former classmates started saying this meant David Hogg was now a Capitalist™ supporting “mass exploitation, genocide, child labor, slavery” they rocketed past goofy into patently ridiculous and unserious. Even if he’s permanently associated with Parkland, I don’t think it would have been impossible for Hogg to have quietly pursued a venture of his liking. Emma Gonzalez has more followers than him, and we barely know what the heck she’s doing. It’s possible! He decided not to do that though, and well, here’s the fallout.

My guess is that she won’t even have new hair growth because that glue is clogging up the follicles. If it is actually growing, she is going to have some gnarly ingrown hairs..
