I’m also struggling to see the moral quandary here. The more people vaccinated = fewer overall deaths. If the vaccines are about to expire anyway, they will be wasted.

we probably would still have these occurrences. fridges break, people miss appointments, etc etc., even with a good plan. better to give a vaccine dose that is close to expiring to someone, anyone, vs letting it go to waste.

We wouldn’t have these issues if we had an actual national plan and procedure to inject everyone in the country.

Happenstance is different than active planning. Your friend of a friend’s friend didn’t plan on getting the shot, they just happened to be there at the right time and if they didn’t get the shot it probably would have gone to waste. It’s so amazing how up their own asses they get about stuff like this. Keurig stops advertising on Hannity, and it’s a THING to go destroy it with a baseball bat and have it rack up views on Twitter.
