Best ever.

Don’t forget Fleetwood Mac with Tusk. Iconic!
Yeah, it’s not like she whipped that up in 5 days time. And she’s worked with marching bands in her live shows way before Beychella. Homecoming is a HUGE artistic achievement and deserves all the props in the world. But this is accusation a little galling.
That kind of makes sense, as IVF for fertility treatment is a medical issue. Freezing eggs for potential use in the future is a personal choice one is making (unless they are doing so because an impending medical procedure will result in a fertility issue).
Oh, I so totally disagree that it’s race driven. And the strategy element is incidental. Logistically, they wanted to get the horses out of the way early in the shoot, yeah, but I suspect the creative device was the key priority here. They wanted the amazing visual of the line of flaming swords rushing across the dark…
He should have been guarding Bran in the Godswood.
The reason the showrunners gave was that the dragons ate up the CGI budget, so they lost Ghost for a while.
Listen, I’m not saying that I agree with the strategy or that it’s a good one, only that it’s a strategy that the armies on the show tend to use regularly. So I don’t see that it was a decision made because the cavalry happened to be Dothraki.
As for allowing the Red Woman to touch their swords, I’m simply saying that…
I saw an interview with the actor who played Lyanna, and she said the note from the director for that scene was “it’s like you have no fear gene.” She really pulled it off (as she did on all fronts).
They always (mistakenly) send the calvalry first: Jon did it (battle of the bastards), Ramsey did it (against Stannis). This seems to be the GOT strategy, however flawed. So it’s not like they did anything different for the Battle of Winterfell. My comments on the Dothraki are noted elsewhere, but I think they stopped…
The Khal was there when they did the wight demo for Cersei, no? I’d say that once the Dothraki accepted that the wights were real, they probably let go of the “superstition” right quick.

That made for one of the coolest moments in the show—it was flat-out cool to see the flaming swords fly out across the battlefield into the dark. And then to see them all go out one by one...it made me sick to my stomach with dread. What a fantastically theatrical—and effective—device.
Totally agree. You can also win by getting a faux wrap dress—all the styling and flattery, none of the wardrobe malfunctions. Also: Fashion Tape FTW.
They’ve talked about the prophecy on the show. No one has identified Jaime as the Valonquar— Cersei has always assumed the little brother the witch spoke of was Tyrion, but it’s Jaime. Though, it’s possible she could die in childbirth and that the child is the Valonquar.
Jamie can’t die until he kills Cersei—he’s the Valonquar, per the prophecy.
Dany was raised most of her life thinking she was going to marry her brother, Visarys (sp.?). It’s an accepted Targaryans thing. Dany is not phased by incest element of the familial reveal at all.
I think the vibe between Sansa and Theon is a familial one.
Do badass motherfuckers not like to bang?
No, the very obvious theme for these first 2 episodes has been FAMILY. Who is your family, what does it mean, the family you choose vs. the one you were born into, etc. Theon is family and, for all the horrible things he did, he chose to come back and fight for the Starks—what you saw was Sansa taking her brother back…
