He’s a Stark, through and through. What did you expect?

And that’s OK. They made a creative thing; a creative thing that they feel really proud of. It’s not their job to make sure it’s all things to all people. It’s their job to make it the best they can—and you don’t get greatness by crowdsourcing. So, I’m OK with Harrington’s comments here.
I would not characterize the CPC as “far left,” specifically in the context of the questions Stahl was posing in this interview relating to identifying as socialist. That’s different than progressive and even DSA positions.
There is no one single type of Dem candidate when it comes to Congressional seats—that’s why Dems need to find common ground on which to unite. Characterize it however you want: The Dems took to house in the mid terms, and won a lot of regionally important races, too.
Compromise can happen without totally taking the teeth out of an original project. If, as you suggest, the only compromise you can obtain is one that completely defeats the purpose of your original legislation, then that’s probably not a compromise worth making, no.
Being a total nerd here: if Cersei was raised, she wouldn’t be the Night Queen. she’d be a mindless wight, not a Whitewalker.
Well, it resulted in the Blue Wave in the last mid-term election. I thought that was a good thing.
And, I’ll note AGAIN that my comment was referencing the center of the Dem platform.
This is going to be a big problem for her, as now Rhaegal is imprinted to Jon and not Dany.
Dany was on that dragon already and people were riding with her.
I really hope they throw the book at them for being so smug about the whole thing. They should do prison time for sure.
Exactly. Some of the big moments in this ep were weirdly underplayed. This one, of course. And the reveal of Jon’s parentage (which i09 pointed out got the same screen time and Bronn’s little menage a quatre). Seriously?
He was in charge of helping them get their own governance together, yes. Several years have passed, tho...
The Second Sons are a regiment of the Golden Company.
Why are we not talking about the fact that the Golden Company being around likely means DARIO IS COMING BACK?
Re: Dragon riding. Given that it’s widely accepted fact that dragons only accept Targaryans, why is nothing occurring to Dany? Jon might have missed that in his lessons, but Dany? Her spidey sense should have been going off from the minute Rhaegon let Jon touch him.
She was def there.
The Golden Company utilizes elephants in their ranks. I think Cersei thinks that if they have dragons, she will have elephants? But it’s a bit of a book Easter Egg, yeah.
Vogue has a long way to go in terms of true diversity. But their stance on cover models and models they use in editorials is much different now than it was back then. They are (way too slowly, of course) reflecting more diversity in their pages every month.
As noted in my comment, I am referring to the center of the Democratic spectrum/platform: from the extremes of Blue Dog Dems to Socialists who politically identify as Dems.
I am referencing the center of the Dem platform (thus my reference to the Dem majority). That’s what Pelosi is saying. The center of the Dem caucus.
