Yeah, it really seems like ASIB has really lost momentum now that awards season is actually upon us. Bradley Cooper must be annoyed.
That said, Bohemian Rhapsody winning Best Picture? Nope! That was cray and it won’t happen at the Oscars.

I love Glenn Close. I kind of hope this strengthens the Oscar buzz for her. And her speech was not only spot on, it was obviously very heartfelt. I’m sure she thought she didn’t have a chance against Lady Gaga (I thought LG was a shoe-in since it was the Globes and they’re so obsessed with “celebrity”). I was really…
Haters gonna hate.
I think she also have a baby who’s only a few weeks old. So, yeah, she’s already slim right off the bat. Though, maybe she’s been that way in the past via poor eating habits ad she’s trying to instill healthy eating habits for future? Trying not be to a horrble cynic here.
Our CBS-watching parents all know who he is. :/
She’s not complaining about anything. The settlement happened—which was essentially a buy-out of her 4-year contract—and she never said anything about it. It’s only been made public now because of the Les Moonves investigation.
I thought that article was fine, but the comments were like, wut? Painting her as “C list” (seriously!?) and complaining about how over the top it was to have multiple days of events. The willful ignorance in that comments section was astonishing.
I believe that example of cultural appropriation has been previously covered in this forum.
Did any actual things go to waste here, though? Or you just don’t like people spending a lot of money on things like this, period?
My take on this exchange was not that she was defending Trump or dwas trying to prevent trash talk about him, rather that she didn’t want talk of Trump’s nonsense to derail the reverent Bush conversation.
Exactly! The RL team must be really annoyed.
I was waiting for that whole freaking clip for them to drop the veil—I just wanted to see how it was supposed to drape as she walked. I think holding it out so taut like that was the wrong move, from a styling POV. That’s not the intent of the design...
It’s wasteful to you, so please do not plan your own wedding accordingly. If a couple wants to have an extravagant wedding and has the means to pay for it, I don’t see why how much they spent on it or how they celebrate it matters anyone beyond themselves.
Yet, here you are clicking on all of the coverage. Feeding the beast that keeps our celebrity culture going strong.
Y’all are SO JADED!
I am pretty sure that all of the things they included are standard to Indian weddings. Each day and element is part of a certain ritual—I don’t think non-Indians are in any positions to judge another culture’s commonly accepted rites of passage and celebrations. And she is literally the biggest star in India, and in…
Where did I say I don’t like the brand? I actually love the brand and am personally deeply invested in it, which is why I’m so critical of it. The market is providing what people want, thus the surge in popularity and sales for aerie, and emerging brands like Fenty, Third Love and Journelle. VS sales have been…
I’m not saying as wide a range as possible. I’m saying making sizes that fit the range of what the average American woman is. They sell in malls and rely on volume to make their business successful, for goodness sakes, it’s the opposite of exclusive. I happen to know more than I care to forget about VS, and I…
That’s kind of the thing: their lingerie business has been on the decline for a few years now via a combination of outdated marketing, missing the boat with product design and more competitors entering the market. They aren’t going to die anytime soon—they’re still really popular and their presence is so massive it’s…
The thing is that the definition of what is “pretty” and what is “ugly” is more subjective these days. There is a much broader range of beauty in today’s world, thankfully. I agree that it’s an exclusive event, in that they use supermodels who are all extremely thin/fit. In the meantime, actual fashion designers—and…
