It was all taped and everything done by the time the article/comments came out. So she was fine with exclusion of body types, but the trans comment put her over the edge, I guess?

FYI, these kinds of comments/that attitude isn’t helping the situation. The goal for the message is body positivity. Not “body positivity... unless you’re skinny.”

The Kim Zolciak/Biermann one is much, much worse. She made her daughter’s nose smaller and her butt more shapely (I can barely type that last part—this is a toddler, for goodness’ sakes).

He’s been on hiatus this year, but he had the highest grossing tour of 2017, plus 2 #1 songs that year as well. So it looks like his career is O.K. for now.

Redacted.

Is it possible that Singer leaving the company has more to do with poor performance under her leadership than it does 2 days of (much deserved) bad press because of Razek’s (unacceptable) comments? He does the fashion show & ad campaigns, but she has been making the decisions about the actual product: design direction

Agree 100%. I think the new guard should learn what they can from the old guard about the PROCESS so they can get their new ideas through. It’s a completely symbiotic relationship.

IMO, she compromises when it makes sense and is necessary. And stands firm when it doesn’t (the ACA, Dodd-Frank).

She did not say we need to compromise, she said we needed to try to find common ground. It’s literally same thing everyone says as a nod to good will when they come to power.

I don’t know about the in between layer. But I imagine that, for the more ambitious, waiting around as part of the minority while the GOP had control of the house starting in 2010 wasn’t terribly attractive.

Thats fine if that’s your opinion. But why pin the negatives of ALL Boomer pols on Pelosi? She hasn’t done any of the things in your litany of sins. And she’s really, really good at her job. I don’t agree with the idea that she has to go just because she’s older and been around a long time. Unless that opinion applies

I don’t really see evidence that Pelosi has been blocking the way for a new guard to rise up and take over. She’s said publicly many times that her intention was to step down after the 2016 election—but then Trump won and she wanted to stay to protect the ACA (understandable). And while she was dismissive of the idea

Pelosi isn’t a Boomer, tho.

She is part of what they call “Traditionalists/Silent Generation: Born 1945 and before.”

...but don’t appear to make nearly enough of an investment in the next generation of leaders

I would really love it if all of the amazing, fresh faces in Congress would take it upon themselves to use Pelosi as a mentor. There is literally no one more versed in the mechanics of getting shit done—actually getting legislation passed—than Nancy Pelosi. What good would her stepping aside now do? It would be

Who has Pelosi refused to mentor? Is there someone with her skill set that she is keeping from the job?

Totally agree. I am so freakin’ fed up with the left willing to jump on the conservative “we hate Pelosi” bandwagon. She was planning to step down after the 2016 election, but them Trump won, so she stayed on. And we should be thanking our luck stars we have her experience and knowledge on our side.

But the debt ratio for L Brands is at 0...so that’s not the reason.

Not sure if you’re aware, but La Senza is owned by L Brands, so is a sister company to VS.
