My children saw Fixer Upper when we were visiting my mom earlier this year. They loved it! I suppose it’s better than another ep of Paw Patrol? But 7 & 5 year olds loving home reno shows feels a little too precocious for me...

He’s not, actually. This is not a defense of any of the out of touch or offensive things Razek said, or his outdated POV. But he’s not a lech, and he’s never hooked up with any of the models or hopefuls.
I don’t think they were paid, I think VS just lent them the wings. I imagine the conversation started because Kendall is in fittings for this year’s show right now. She was probably talking about it with the girls, and they were like “I want to wear the wings, too, let’s dress up for Halloween.” Kendall likely…
You are correct, Kendall is not technically an Angel—that is status conferred by a contract. Kendall only walks in the show (same with Gigi and Bella--none of them are official Angels).
Exactly. While I personally find the choice a little odd, this is an adaptation of a book written by Fleming—a white woman who is the head of communication for the UNHCR UN Refugee agency. So Dunham is basically helping turn the book into a screenplay.
Little Einsteins is really good, too, yes!
I will note that things that feel like “mindless drivel” to adults are often the most effective for kids. I remember seeing a study that found kids got a lot more out of the concepts as explained on Barney (insanely simplistic and maddeningly slow and repetitive) than they ever did via Sesame Street (clever, witty,…
Agree on PJ Masks, so stupid! I do think PP is OK, though. They teach kids to help others and to be good friends, and that’s cool by me.
Paw Patrol is for toddlers, and for that, the picking are slim. Paw Patrol and Octonauts, Dinosaur Train, Backyardigans and Magic School Bus are all great options for the little kid set. You’re talking about shows for elementary age kids!
I think Pompeo isn’t all that interested in doing endorsements. Whereas Vergara has always stated that she wants to become a brand.
Yeah, that’s a separate ranking. There should be a ranking of highest earners for their TV gigs. And are rankings for overall income.
Cuoco? She used to do Priceline.
Highest paid for a TV drama, I believe. Pompeo is basically neck and neck with Kaley Cuoco, who is the highest paid TV comedy actress. Vergara’s income is really inflated by her endorsements, which I wouldn’t personally include in the total figure.
That’s my question—these figures must take revenue beyond what they make as a salary or the actual show. Because if that’s the measure, Kaley Cuoco is the highest paid actress on TV.
I came here to say the exact same thing! I recently read the excerpt for Hereditary because everyone was talking about it. The one for Split was good, but confusing. I can’t wait to read the one for the Halloween sequel! I need gentle scaring...no visuals.
That’s horrible, and I’m sorry. The fact remains that it isn’t something they do as a “preventative” anymore, since they’ve learned that natural tears heal better.
The dangers of writing an article relating to childbirth when you’ve never given birth. Or used google.
I have made no excuses for anyone.
Where was I excusing the behavior? My very first comment is that it’s an abuse of power.
Because the setting being the workplace is obviously the context based on the conversation we’re having...plus, it’s implicit in the title of the movie.
