It does, but please don't tell them. Seeing Trump supporters wearing t-shirts bearing Emmett Otter references would be MY nightmare.

The brilliance of The Muppet Show certainly had a lot to do with the right people coming together at the right time. The thing is, the current performers are all really talented and funny themselves, but they're hampered by the audience's expectations.

I don't want them to never do movies or another TV show again. There were some great episodes of the 2015 show, and the recent movies were solid, especially Muppets Most Wanted. But they definitely thrive in the short-form format, and they should keep making YouTube stuff between bigger projects.

How's that Fraggle Rock movie announced in 2006 coming along?

The "Alien" one was better than the "Gravity" one.

For a while there they were doing short videos where Muppets would recite the lyrics to Disney theme park songs. They were amusing enough, but I guess they ran out of theme park songs.

I thought about that line a lot during the campaign as support for that guy inexplicably grew. Turns out there were more Riverbottom Nightmares in this country than I realized.

Both of the recent Muppet movies had Pixar shorts ahead of them. The next Disney family-targeted movie should have a Muppet short ahead of it.

Yep. The most vocal critics of the 2015 show tended to be those with only hazy memories of the Muppets from when they were five years old. An Muppet TV show wouldn't be afraid to be wacky, and also wouldn't be afraid to do some material with a more adult tone now and then.

I'm surprised to see her say she doesn't really sing. I thought her demon-karaoke-bar performance of "Ill Wind" was pretty great.

That's Abby Cadabby. She debuted in 2006. So kids who were 3 years old at that time are now 14, which means they're just about old enough to get angry and bitter about the next new character who comes along.

The Count drives a car in Follow That Bird. I think his license plate number is 12345678910.

I think this is pretty close. Some letters on Sesame Street are alive, but sometimes they're just recreations of letters. Like mannequins.

Yeah, the headline is either misleading or misinformed. Also, you can tell it's not official because several of the shots they used are not even Kermit, but in fact his evil Russian doppelganger Constantine.

And in the first commercial, it was Kelsey Grammer! And back then, he was annoyed at people associating him with Geico because he was a gecko. But I guess he needed the money.

The Dick Van Dyke episode is worth watching just for the odd Rob & Laura sketches. Which are explained by the writer characters in the episode with the premise of "Hey, Mary McKinnon kind of looks like that actress who played Laura Petrie! What if she played her in a sketch with Dick Van Dyke as Rob?"

I love the Museum of the Moving Image, but from the beginning I was surprised that a) They were running an installation that took such an overt political point of view, and b) They were partnering with a known unstable artist like Shia LaBeouf. Shutting it down is probably a good decision. And now no one has to

Disney's lawyers would like to remind you that this program features "Jim Henson Company puppets," not Muppets.

When I saw the headline, I figured it would be Taylor. Too much power over a group of citizens, and forcing his bad ideas on them.

I don't think I saw any images of it until the following morning's Channel One News (remember that?) broadcast in school. It was pretty shocking.
