It's one of my favorite Joe Dante movies, which means it's one of my favorite movies. The MANT stuff is funny, but the affection for the era is always clear.

I can't BELIEVE you didn't ask about Jim Henson's Turkey Hollow!
You mean you don't love getting electrocuted by seaweed until 3 of your 4 turtles are dead?
I'm trying to come up with something insightful here, but all I can say is: Yeah, that was the worst.
Extra-geeky additional detail: Those sketches were only seen in the UK broadcasts of Muppets Tonight, like the "UK Spots" on The Muppet Show.
To me, the cliffhanger was perfect. Kermit and Piggy have always had a weird dynamic. If the show gets cancelled, it doesn't matter what Piggy was about to say. If it comes back, they can pick up where they left off.

There's no Muppet continuity, it's just whatever works for the current production.
I wouldn't think so. Statler and Waldorf are allowed to be mean-spirited.
"Fast as fast can be, you'll never catch me!"
Jimmy Kimmel's "Unnecessary Censorship," in other words?
You know, I expected them to run out of steam about a month into the site's existence, but it's stayed pretty consistently amusing.
That book was credited as being co-written by Barbara Bush, but I always wondered if she actually worked on it other than reading what the ghost-dog-writer came up with and signing off on it.
Yeah, I tried. I only got a few things to come to life.
