Reminds me about the questioning for jury duty when I was part of the selected pool. Lawyer asked me if I could render a guilty verdict. Me: “Well there’s the law and then there’s justice. I would do what’s right.”

This is amazingly awesome and good.  Action from the people is the only way we can fix broken systems.

There should be a legal challenge based on the constitutional prohibition against cruel and unusual punishment.  This sentence is clearly out of proportion with the crime.

Yup, I’ve had a highway trooper threaten to arrest me at a gas station in MA while driving through it with my temp-plated newly purchased used car.

Another local with a heavy Boston accent gave the trooper a mouthful and he eased off me.

Thank you. I am not a local but have passed through that area several times in the past year so I feel like I have some familiarity with it. As someone posted in another comment, there are signs that specifically warn truckers not to be fooled (when the road levels off before the final descent) and to maintain low

I have flown in a 747 faster than MACH 1 (ground speed). We were flying with the jet stream and my GPS showed > 768 MPH.

Bob Hoover’s famous video where he pours liquid into a glass while rolling:

im struggling to understand how you don’t feel a roll as severe as even 45 degrees.  Didn’t they notice one side of their neck getting sore or their flight headset cords taking on jaunty angles?  So bizzare.

Some context for those of you not from Colorado, who don’t know the circumstances of what happened beyond what you’re reading in this article.

Ditto. I’ve been here for years and am still in the f*cking greys. Kinja is an absolute useless joke of a commenting system. The only reason I’m still here is Torch. If he goes, I’ll follow him.

Going on 17th for booster, also got first two doses in April.

KFC in Japan is nothing like it is in the US. I was there for Christmas just before the pandemic, and we had KFC on Christmas day. Much better than the US version. In general, the fast food and convenience food in Japan is much better that the U.S. equivalents. For example, 7-11... in the U.S., I won’t touch the

General Motors has a bunch of paint left over from the ‘90s, and it’s really cheap!”

The other rule, which seems to push for increased headlight standards, and self leveling systems to ensure they’re pointed correctly is probably more important overall as the dynamic headlights will likely not be on most cars.

Why was there not a amber rear turn signal law with this bill?

Colorado has become a mess.  I have family there.  It’s now my place to visit only.

You say that as though you think that catenary-powered trains don’t run anywhere where they have snow, like, I dunno, all of northern China, Europe, and Japan, South Korea, Russia....Also, third rail doesn’t work for genuine, sustained, >125mph running, which is why they use constant-tension catenary wherever high

And there we have it. Places such as France, the UK, and Japan also have snow, ice, and (WTF) “wet falling leaves” yet somehow can have high-speed catenary-based rail a level of magnitude better than ours.  But here in the USA we have to develop every regulation and specification from scratch (and usually for blended
