This looks delicious and also reminds me of how fascinated I am by recipe developers. This is a recipe that makes total sense yet is a completely creative spin on a Thanksgiving main. I cannot ever imagine thinking up this kind of thing and I am glad brilliant recipe developers like you exist to do it for me.

In addition to the Ukrainian food loved by cousin Ed, a visit to Manitoba with a focus on regional food will likely bring you bison (usually burgers, sometimes steaks), pickerel and saskatoon berries. Manitobans also love honey dill sauce as the accompaniment to chicken fingers and fries.

Katharine is for her mother, who died of cancer. But the Spencer could still be a play on Katharine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy.

This is a completely accurate description of my relationship with my ex husband.

This exactly describes my trip to the hall of fame. I stood in front of Geena Davis’ Peaches uniform for so long.

Um.... paper bags? Isn’t that the obvious solution? They make these great paper bags now with handles and reinforced bottoms.

Our neighbourhood potluck version of this salad features soy sauce in the dressing and no mandarin oranges.

Other than the obstacle of quarantining together for months during a global pandemic? I think you would learn a lot about your partner in those circumstances...

Interestingly, I hated Secret History and loved the Goldfinch.

I make it with a whisk and it takes maybe 2-3 minutes.

When I was in Croatia, the family I stayed with taught us to make a form of egg coffee. As I recall, we whipped the yolks with sugar until pale and fluffy and then added hot barley coffee. It was delicious and filling.

I often gift Interstellar Cinderella and Click Clack Moo. Feminist Baby is a great board book.

The Day the Boa Constrictor Ate the Wash? Maybe?

Ronnie dislikes Patrick because of the incident when she’s constructing the bathroom at Rose Apothecary and he (wrongfully) accuses her of milking the job.

In Canada, at least where I am, liquor stores are being kept open as an essential service - because shuttering them would be dangerous for people with alcohol dependencies who would be plunged into unsupervised withdrawal. Keeps everyone else civilized about things too - and you can get booze delivered to your house

Cabbage is the best and this looks delicious. Somewhat similar to a favourite cabbage pasta of mine - but without the challenge of trying to find pancetta right now

Foyle’s War and Inspector Lewis are also very worth watching.

I made savoury hamantaschen last year (caramelized onion and feta filling) and they were an absolute delight.

You have to keep cooking and stirring them and they slowly thicken and become the most amazing potatoes you have ever eaten. It takes longer than you would think, but it’s worth it.

I read once that the narrative needs to be reframed from “why won’t she leave him” to “why won’t he let her go” and I agree completely.
