Absolutely! I had to remake a few plugs that got a little wonky from not getting square to the board. Next time I have to do more than two or three plugs I’ll definitely bring along my press.

I really wish I could, but the board is beneath the molding and the end and beneath the wall and a door on most of the 10’ length. I’m trying to come up with something good that won’t make it look like Swiss cheese, but it’s a serious pain.
@GHDave - I’d probably stay away from foaming that. There’s probably as much chance of bubbling up the floor slightly as fixing it. Look at the special screws that were mentioned above. You drive them into the wood floor squeak and into the sub floor, then snap off the head leaving only a small hole to fill. Depending…
