I tend to agree with you, there has to be enough space and there has to be a way to prevent the other person from attacking the same enemy. They could do it, but who knows if they actually did.

This dual play aspect of combat seems like an easy way to create two player story mode where each person can control a single character to fight and possible do story missions together or separate. I know this isn’t confirmed but I would be an awesome addition to what seems to be an superbly awesome game already.

I meant Grandia II was on dreamcast. I accidently assumed Grandia 1 was on Dreamcast but I have obviously never played it. Grandia II was my introduction to the Grandia series and have been a fan ever since.
