I think the market has irrecoverably changed and system lifecycles may not last like they used to. With investors pressure things may change more rapidly than they would like. Who knows what will happen. I am excited for a new Nintendo console with more power and better online in all facets hopefully

I think there is a place for motion controls but from the point of view that it appeals to a niche market now. It does not need to be shoved down our throats. I do enjoy motion controls for some games but very few. I never want to play Donkey Kong Country, Metroid Prime, or Zelda (to name a few) with motion controls.

I think they can keep the motion controls but they definitely need to make this optional! the most annoying thing for gamers is having the ability to play the game how you feel comfortable. flailing a wii mote for hours it not too fun depending on what your playing...not to mention tiring. Exersize...MEH!

part of the reason Nintendo doesn't have these launch issues is because they use known technology (sometimes dated) that developers already know how to make stable software for it.

If someone has: Wii U, 3DS, Vita, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, PC (with hardware from the last 2-3 years) Why would they ever want this for any reason EVER?

There are rare occasions where newer technology doesn't have backward compatibility. I understand not supporting it, just stating that it will work in general.
