Diesel tuner guys were breaking the 1000lb/ft mark back in the 90s. I'd like to see one of these putting down 1000hp/2000tq.

THAT's it. Looks like the very same one, in fact.
huh, I thought it was already 440hp. but either way, impressive, especially the 860 tq. put an intake, cat back and tune on that thing and I'm sure you could break the 1000 tq mark.
You know, I'm with you here. Every car I've had with 500+ HP was just an exercise in frustration on normal streets, or beyond my ability to fully use on a track. 250 HP is still my sweet spot.
On the one hand, as an enthusiast I should applaud the cheap horsepower. On the other hand, once you reach 500 horsepower is more really necessary? Of course as someone who grew up in the dark days of the 1980s, when 300 factory horsepower was astounding and 200 HP was excellent, I may just be getting old.
Buy a house and 3/4 acre of land in Shitsylvania, or are you going to do the smart thing and buy a 650 HP 2015 Corvette Z06 for $78,995?
But now Autocar took the Huracán for a spin on UK roads, and it still understeers. A lot. Plus, no matter how many buttons you push, the ESP stays on in the background. That sucks.
Trigger warning: This video features detailed imagery of moccasins worn without socks.
I would DEFINITELY have one over the 458 - the 458 is an ugly car (come at me, bros) and being a shooting brake, the FF is far more practical. Also because 660 HP V12.
I find it interesting that Harris swapped out his FF for an RS6 Avant.
Not to mention the bloated Camaro V6 is also rated 30mpg, and a fullsize Charger gets 31mpg.
Didn't we previously live in a world where a 305 HP Mustang could get 30 miles per gallon on the highway?
I would submit that the Volvo 245 operated by Bernal Dads Racing may be the most badass Volvo in 'Murica. "The Whale" is a battle-scarred veteran of eighteen 24 Hours of LeMons races, including some of the early melees at Altamont. And it just keeps going. It's had an engine swap, and a tranny swap, and zillions of…
mine!!!
I'm extremely biased, of course, but I'm going to with mine. LS1/T56 drift battlewagon.
Sweet!
Of course the answer is: the one in your garage!! Here is mine (Blue hood cause the original was busted when I picked up the car). Still intend to do a V8 swap, but she has taken on daily duties as we settle out other car issues. An '83 doing daily duties with all the original parts? Only a volvo 240.
