So you want a procedural mystery that also has very few special effects, can be done cheaply, but still has a pretty good hook and can grab you. You want something street level (like Daredevil), but not something that is just a copy of it.

Also: Rescues! Do not go near a breeder until you’ve gone and visited a rescue or ten looking for the breed you’re interested in. Go there - look into the eyes of pups that need a home. Go to your shelters. Go to places. But only if you plan on committing 110% to the pup.

Also, too if you want a special breed 25% of all dogs in pounds are purebreds, so you can get what you want and save a life. I have 2 rescue cats and 2 rescue dogs. One of my dogs is (probably) a designer chihauha/beagle mix. The other may well be a purebred beagle. I say probably because they were both strays, left…

+1000. I have 2 pound mutts and they are fantastic. Healthy, happy, and lovable. Couldn’t ask for better.

That’s why everyone should get some of the awesome mutts at the shelter (they need homes and nobody wants them!) instead of getting a dog bred selectively in a way that maximizes their suffering for personal profit.
