There’s a nice storm on its way in and my husband is gone so that means cooking.....I went to the local coop and bought einkorn and rye flours, red lentils and black orca beans. I’m going to fire up a loaf of sourdough bread and make a gallon of tomato soup tomorrow. I’m looking for a good recipe for the orca beans

I’ve had mixed results. The caffeine serum is great but my rosacea has been acting up and I suspect this is partially due to a bad reaction to their peel.

This. I’m confused by the people who think that it’s inauthentic to not have a filter. It’s kind of like the idiots who write into Quora asking if it’s ok to call other people’s babies ugly. I just want my cheap skin care products but will go back to ordering from other places now that it’s obvious that some employees

I like the caffeine serum and the marula/argan/rosehip/squalane oils. I’m on the fence on some of the other products because my skin is very fussy at the moment, which may or may not have been made worse by their exfoliating peel, which gave me a major rash.

We’re having my husband’s family over for Easter dinner, and are making ham, mashed potatoes, asparagus, green beans and rolls. Also cheese/crackers/salami/hummus for appetizers. I made the rolls and some lemon squares today.

Amen. I flew with my young cat when I moved cross country in 1997, but having done it once there’s no way I would do it again, esp. post 9/11. When I moved cross country again a few years ago, I had two old cats and I drove.

I have been wondering about this too. There’s not a lot of space under the seat. I was able to take my cat on board many years ago, but it was a tight fit in her hard-sided carrier. If I had to guess, 20 lbs is probably the maximum pet size. I’m not sure how big 10 month old bulldogs are. The carrier may have been

I really think that’s the case. It’s kind of funny because a lot of big, public corporations have the good sense to know who’s buying their product and do fairly inclusive ads, respond to public uproar when relevant (see all the companies pulling their NRA member discounts recently), etc. I like their product but am

This. I like some of their products but if they want to get a bigger customer base they have to keep their drama off social media. Acting like a dysfunctional silicon valley startup is a bad look for anyone these days.

This. I’m cheap, fat and old, and I don’t care what I look like at the gym. I wear yoga/running pants at the gym because they feel good and are functional for my workout. I used to wear soccer shorts and t-shirts but got tired of flashing people when I stretched and having fabric hang in my face during yoga.

I made a gallon of tomato soup tonight and my husband made grilled cheese sandwiches with some homemade sourdough from the freezer. I may start another loaf of sourdough tomorrow.

meyer lemon bars!

I am LOL’ing the Paul Fentz has the Game of Thrones music and looks sort of like a better looking version of Littlefinger

Wow, what an asshole! they haven’t shipped my latest order yet so I’ll see if I can cancel it.

I only heard about the owner snarking on Drunk Elephant - is there more? I’ve recently gotten into The Ordinary but am on a skincare binge so I’m buying from lots of places and can easily dial it back

I got the 30% AHA/2% BHA peeling solution and it gave me a rash. I didn’t have any issues with the Drunk Elephant babyfacial. I’m disappointed since The Ordinary’s version was a lot cheaper and I have had good luck with their other products.

I’ve seen that too, as well as guys who add several inches to their height. It’s sort of ironic, because I don’t care about height and won’t necessarily count someone out for being a few years above my stated age preference but I do weed out people who lie.

The double standard that starts when people are in their late 30's is just ridiculous. I once turned down some guy who was recently separated. In his profile he went on and on about how he was such a great catch. Apart from not officially being single, he was more or less the male equivalent of me (good job/income, ok

My sourdough loaf is proofing now. I’ll do a roast tomorrow and maybe make a giant pot of tomato soup if I’m feeling motivated.

Good luck! I suggest just diving in to whatever online platform interests you. I’m a married old lady now, but I didn’t date until my mid-30's - I was busy with work, wasted too much time on some crushes/friends with occasional benefits, was insecure about my weight, didn’t want to admit I have zero luck meeting
