I’m going to buck the trend here: as somebody who street parked in Brooklyn for almost 20 years, I know the struggle of looking for a parking spot and not being able to find one because your car is too long. A Honda Fit is a great choice, but I’m going to argue it’s not the best choice. Compare the specs on these two

That’s not a lot of miles on the Scion. If you have a good mechanic, repair it. Get another used car and it will need repairs too, but they’ll be different repairs. My son lived in Philly. I’ve driven around there in a minivan and done the Philly U-turns but finding a parking spot on narrow residential streets is

Gently used Kia Soul is the answer, private sale from an old person or an estate if you can find one. In the current market, I wouldn’t hesitate to just spend a little money on the Scion XB. Get the smallest diameter wheels and tires with the tallest sidewall.

Late model VW Golf if you can find one.

If McDonald's does that to your digestive system, you should see a doctor.

Go watch “Dead Men Don’t Wear Plaid” and then come back and do this list all over!

Brick is amazing. All the tropes of a hard-boiled detecive story transposed to high school. No one calls the police because its not that kind of film: adults barely feature for purely stylistic reasons. And it works. Easily Johnson’s best movie.

Used cars that were better in every conceivable way. About any year Renault 4 in Europe or Chevy Chevette in the U.S. would

It was twice the price of a used car that would have been twice as good at the time.

Counterpoint: No, I am not.

“Eat it faster” works, too!

So it’s Trapper John M.D.  with the spectre of an arch nemesis?

hilariously Ty Tennant is David’s adopted son.

The author likes playing buzzword bingo in everything she writes. It’s typical for her to throw out terms like that with little to no relevance to what she is speaking about or to what the words even mean.

A shame to see her pass as she seemed to be attached to her job and her country and had a fantastic sense of humor. The problem is that I really don’t know what royalty has to do with actually running Great Britain.

Does Merv Griffin in The Man With Two Brains (1983)  count?

Undercover Brother is seriously underrated.

(virtually) no one tops James Van Der Beek in the B*tch in Apt 23.  genius show and genius casting.  two words: beek jeans
