I would not bet on that being the case in every country, and maybe not even Singapore, where the company is apparently located. Many countries take a dim view on uncompensated labor, and I imagine it would be very awkward if some court said, “they made this translation, and you didn’t pay them for it, so now you have

Seems like some weird corporate doublespeak to call their full time, salaried developers volunteers in order to soften the blow to their part time, unpaid volunteers.

“Full time volunteers are paid a salary”

Ah yes, localisation and moderation. Two infamously easy and simple areas not deserving of financial compensation...

Yawn, another (liberal) author for a video game website trying to take a hit at one of the most innovative men to ever live.”

Never takes long for a Musk bro to show up and post something cringy and hilarious.

Yeah, L4D was pretty good at what it was, and it fit the theme well. It was quite enjoyable for its time. Mentally, I kinda mark it as the last “good” zombie thing before stuff reached a critical saturation point for me. I think, what finally killed it for me was TLoU honestly, a game widely regarded as pretty great.

For sure. I’ve definitely reached the point where if the game/movie/whatever’s main deal is just zombies, I don’t even give it a second look. I’m just don’t find them interesting at all.
