The mouthpiece always gets the attention, though. In this case, it also serves to deflect attention away from gun makers, but the primary purpose is to advance the financial interest of the gun industry, i.e. to sell as many guns as possible with the fewest restrictions. (Which is why people like Wayne LaPierre may

But as the industry’s mouthpiece, they’re still not just part of, but actually represent, the gun industry.

She’s kind of right: the NRA do not need “to come to the table.” In fact, they don’t need a place at the table at all, ever again. The gun industry shouldn’t get a say in gun control.

the same asshole that’s trying to blame Stoneman Douglas HS on “mental health issues” also signed legislation making it easier for people with mental health issues to buy guns!

Honestly I’m a little surprised that Trump didn’t come out with some variation of the “good people on both sides” rhetoric in this case.

In this case, it’s clearly a response to the kids at the school who are giving him flack. He knows that it would be really bad if he started directly attacking a bunch of children who just got shot at, but he’s being criticized and he’s got to attack someone (because he’s an impulsive narcissist with anger issues).

This happens. All. The. Time. Though it does seem to happen with a great deal of frequency to those who share sometimes only vaguely similar names to people who are the targets of reactionary ire. Reactionaries do seem to have a particularly hard time understanding that different people sometimes have the same name.

“We remain deeply committed to developing immersive experiences for consumers through groundbreaking augmented and virtual reality,” the representative said.

“it could also be that they’re both crunching and need more time.”

To be fair to Trump - or should I say “Trump” - he hasn’t read the memo, of course. It was two-and-a-half pages long! That’s way beyond what he’s capable of, and his name doesn’t appear in the document so he couldn’t even get through the first paragraph. But whoever did the crayon drawing meant to convey its essence

Oh man, the irony of that, given the FBI as a conservative organization that, if anything, displayed an overall anti-Hillary bias. But Trump’s been doing his best to discredit the FBI and followers of Dear Leader aren’t known for their mental acuity...

I’m pretty sure that, for the most part, he doesn’t even recognize them. After all, he can reportedly be manipulated by someone taking an opposite stance to the one he voiced, but by attributing this new position to him and also calling it the correct one. He has to be right, so he’ll just accept this new position as

There was the hostile takeover by private equity firms that saddled TRU with unsustainable debt. That’s what killed the company. I’m not sure where “hire a company” comes into it.

“Daddy drove me home from school, but I walked from the car to the front door...”

But before he took office, Trump said none of those numbers were real, and now they are! /sarcasm

His response would be to lie and/or make some non-specific allusion to being “tough” or “strong” in his approach, so it would really take a situation where a reporter could ask follow-up questions, point out his lies, and not let him off the hook until he gave a real response. Which the White House would never allow...

It’s so maddening - Trump denied the positive economic indicators under Obama, then suddenly not only acknowledges them, but takes credit for them, pointing to his nebulous “policies.” (And not just economic indicators, everything - falling crime, air traffic safety; all manner of things he has no policies about,

But Trump explicitly rejected the reality of those numbers, and now he accepts them, so...

There are a number of various strategies that can be used to repel a hostile takeover, but the conditions have to exist to allow those strategies. I don’t know what the exact circumstances were in this case, but apparently they didn’t allow for any of those strategies to be used successfully, or perhaps whoever had

which lets players sell and trade any in-game items they purchase, as well as (potentially) use them in other developers’ games.
