He seems to have gotten this from a Breitbart article of the day before; they twisted the story in a way that made Trump seem like a victim of illegal activity. Trump doesn’t understand, well, anything, beyond the headlines he sees.

All his insults, all his claims of deficiencies in others are based on projection. You learn an awful lot about the guy listening to what he says about other people.

So, apparently on Thursday, some conservative radio show said Obama sought to wiretap Trump. On Friday Breitbart repeated that, as part of some claim of a secret coup by Obama against Trump. On Saturday Trump tweeted about it. But there was an assertion made in a story, several months old, that a FISA court…

And not just increased money, but feeling like he’d remove layers of oversight and restrictions - certainly that’s how they seem to be feeling now, based on interviews.

ICE employees sound pretty reactionary and racist in general - there was big support for Trump in their ranks. I think ICE (and CBP) see themselves as off the leash, thanks to Trump. They’re just doing - and saying - what they want because they figure they can get away with it now.

Or, more likely, that Trump is now admitting that a FISA court issued a surveillance warrant because of evidence of illegal activity on the part of Trump/his campaign. Or at least that this information has filtered its way down, in distorted form, to Breitbart, the headline of which Trump read.

I hairbuy demand that someone get Trump to make statements under oath - any kind of statements, it doesn’t matter. Trump being Trump, 8 out of 10 things he says will be demonstrable lies. It would be so sweet.
