Yeah, I know what you mean, but the schadenfreude is tempered by how many people are going to lose health insurance who voted against him, not to mention the actual deaths that will occur as a result. And given that so many Trump voters are low-information to the point of being no information, some will never realize

It really doesn’t matter if it is true - the Russians likely have way more substantial dirt on Donald than some piss-show. And there’s better evidence that Trump’s financial operations have basically been serving as a money laundering front for Russian gangsters/oligarchs since his last bankruptcy.

Yeah, with Conway, you can see her brain working - she knows she’s defending the indefensible, and she doesn’t care. Trump, on the other hand, is just unaware of how messed up the things he says are.

“He has said that he is not aware of that”

Look, look - relax, no need to freak out, this is all perfectly normal political behavior.

I’m not seriously suggesting California should succeed - even if that was a good idea, it’s not feasible for a multitude of reasons. I’m just pointing out that the benefits to the rest of the country are going to be minimal at best once the Republicans have destroyed social programs and shifted tax money to benefit

Well, because that doesn’t change anything - except maybe make the film cheaper to produce, but also reducing the potential audience size for it.

Because it takes a long time to make a movie, especially when they’re at the stage where they are here, where they’re still trying to decide if they want to make the movie in the first place. That it’ll take a lot of money to film just adds more delays. That the games are like movies is pretty much irrelevant since

Although perhaps an even better example would come from the majority of optioned properties that never get made, or the majority of scripts that never get filmed. They haven’t started making this movie and the odds are still good that it’ll never happen - that they previously had people attached to it means nothing,

“It’s too rich, and poor people in the rest of this country need its money.”

“I’m sure I’ll get shit for this”

“I think Blaine’s version is that he actually does get shot at.”

I believe Patton Oswalt already explained the real reason for the hospital stay:

When I read about this, my first thought was that this is fucked up on many levels. My second was wondering if he actually plans to replace them. With Trump, one could imagine that he’d leave embassies empty because he just doesn’t understand what they’re for.

Originally there was a dot in the middle, representing where the art department’s head was.

The problem is that “good” wages in Bangladesh, India, and China are still going to be below-poverty level wages in the US. (Also, of course, robots don’t get paid anything.) This is falling into the trap that US working conditions need to be on the same level as China’s, etc. There are ways of maintaining industry

What’s amazing is that no one put a stake through its heart or blew its rotten brains out long ago. It’s not like there was anything particularly valuable worth keeping the company around in its undead state. Its games had gameplay that was a) already cloned a million times and b) not relevant to modern gaming. So

“It would happen in the USA”

Heck, even by the mid ‘90s, well before Infogrames, the name was already divorced from its history. When the Lynx and Jaguar failed, apparently there was a time when they had money in the bank, but no products (and presumably no workers to speak of). Then they merged with a hard-drive maker(!), with the “Atari” side

I think this may be the first actual bankrupcy. However, “Atari” has been sold, split off, merged with or shut down at least half a dozen times at this point. It’s not even a skeleton of its former self - it’s more like one, small bone. Last I heard, they had less than a dozen employees.
