“Cadillac at least TRIED to do something different and far better - they just didn’t do it quite well enough, and into a shrinking market that already has more than enough players that do it very well indeed.”

Not trolling. I think I’ve heard half of the grid say it already. And probably every team principle not named Wolfe.
I would rather put a Mustang front end on a Fairmont wagon
I rarely watch videos on this site, but this is just fantastic. It legit looks like a car taking itself apart. He even gave the fasteners little personalities. So satisfying.
Nothing. It’s a sensationalized article. The road courses Indycar runs use a lot of gravel traps, and street circuits seem to make up the other half of the non-oval races. Aside from the ovals it’s a pretty safe series.
Upon Grosjean’s entry, Indycar just got a lot more dangerous. Maybe he and Power can take each other out and let the real drivers go at it.
Yeah, the secret’s out.
I don’t think the Elizabeth comparison is fair to her. She admitted that she’s new to some of the racing stuff, and is taking on that responsibility here at Jalopnik. She even writes her blogs from that angle. Sort of “I’m new to this and this is why I think it’s cool.” She’s very honest and has good content. I…
You'll find no arguments from me my friend. Much like Harley Davidson they let their heritage rot on the vine. Its sad, but I won't lament their decline or ultimate demise.
We used to do all kinds of stupid stuff with snapon tools, including cutting parts off to fit in tighter spaces. We would just tell snappy Joe it broke. He would give us that sideways look, then replace the tool. We spent so much with him that he replaced anything we asked for.
Its never the employees fault. He was failed by management in some way.
Nice to have that level of honesty.
You are right. My comment didn’t necessarily have to do with the specific style, but rather the spirit of the vehicle. They could make suvs/cuvs, even strictly electric, but with the same approach. Cadillac is no longer the Cadillac of vehicles. Make an suv with the ethos of Cadillac of old: New caddies don’t even…
This would be a great car for a museum. It’s extremely nice, but I can’t think anyone would want to own one to drive it. This belongs on the island of misfit cars. ND
Yes, Cadillac seemed to have lost their way in the 80s. They’ve been wandering around in the forest since then. They were defined by big, comfortable, luxurious cars with torque and style. Then they inexplicably went after the economy segment, then the performance market. They don’t belong there. Even the luxury…
I think matching wheels and their corresponding arches would do all of them a lot of justice.
I will not put my money where my mouth is because money is dirty and there is a virus going around.
It comes with the stock wheels.
Nostalgia is a helluva drug
I think the guy wanted these wheels on the car, they are staggered, and the back ones fit just right. But the front ones didn’t, and he has spacers behind them. Just a thought.
