In hindsight, we now know that Netflix did not necessarily need to produce megahits per se. Just enough hits here and there that hit the sweet spots of their respective niche audiences which they were better positioned than HBO to analyze.

It’s really interesting to go back to old posts and see how things panned out in hindsight. Also seeing this thread for the first time in 2015.
