You are so sweet! I have been trying to remind myself that if I don't get into this school at this time, there are still other programs to apply to. I haven't take the GRE yet so that is also going to be a huge factor.

Off subject but I just submitted my application to grad school (still have final documentation to send by June 1st) and I feel like I am going to puke and cry.

FURTHER MORE, I have not slept. I will never sleep. Insomnia has taken my brain and replaced it with wasps.

I bought my girls (at their request) a bunch of panties from Aerie for Christmas. LAST Christmas. As in December 2014. I still see pictures of asses wearing thongs and “cheekies” (nice asses, but still...) every time I log into FB. The gods of the interwebz have kicked it up a notch in the last couple of months and

Hillary has been my senator twice. I’ve seen her in debates for a good many years now. It’s her best skill, in terms of campaigning. No way at all that grade-school taunts and frat-boy nicknames are going to muss one hair on her head. She’s been dealing with bullies and smears, been called a murderer and a crook by

Sadly, no. More like the dog from Up. SQUIRREL!

Because I love to torture myself I read the facebook comments on a few articles about this several days ago (jez is seriously late with this). Sooooo many old white people commenting, with no sense of shame, “IF MOOSHELL IS ON NCIS I WILL NEVER WATCH AGAIN. GIBBS HOW DARE YOU?”

Not A Mom, but I get it. I can barely keep track of my car keys. I leave them everywhere. I feel like I could lose a kid in an instant, esp if I had one that inherited her father’s inexplicable vanishing gene. I swear both my husband and his dad slip into another dimension and then pop back into ours. Mid conversation

Ugh, I’m just so TIRED of men’s capelets in 2016. Like, enough already! Every guy I see, it’s like, man-bun, beard, chunky glasses, skinny jeans, and a jaunty capelet. So cliché.

I’ve actually looked into this, but I really only have one or two items that are nice enough to actually clean, so I’m not sure how worth it it is. Maybe once I’ve amassed a larger collection :)

Not to take away from his feminism but I’ve always found it funny how straight men approached Prince. Hilton Als, for Harpers, did a write up about Prince that I think everyone should read (link will be below quotation).

yes, it’s a pity, but then again his subversion of traditional masculinity helped many thousands of gay people feel comfortable in their skin. I don’t think you need to show us how problematic you think he was when everybody is pouring their hearts out over this tragedy.

Seattle, woo!

Were you there ? Cuz here is feedback from someone who was and there were a lot more like this

Wide Sargasso Sea is amazing. It's really a classic in its own right.

I don’t understand these people who go around staring at strangers in public bathrooms to the degree that they might be able to identify that their junk doesn’t align with the symbol on the door.

I feel the same way about “retellings.” However, I just recently read Re Jane, and it was so good. Which means a lot, because Jane Eyre is one of my faves.

I read all the rest of Austen in the years since. I like her. Her stories are interesting and a lot funnier than I expected. But as I’ve gotten older, I’ve gotten more impatient with the gender-based moral code of the time, and even Austen’s subversions and rebellions within that system still leave her female

Either way, it’s a story of unending horror.

It’s finally over. Another primary. Another day of waiting anxiously to hear whether her “husband” has won.
