Oooh, I love aquas!! Just got one for my bday and thought the same thing as I switched it to my right hand :) “ this would be an amazing engagement ring!” And an aqua eternity band with it would be so unique and special.

You had to sell them? Like, gun to the head had to? I would’ve quit, I can’t imagine feeling very good about myself, being part of that mess.

That is exactly what I have always thought they look like, but thought smoky topaz. When aquamarines became hard to find back in the ‘80s, someone told me to look at blue topaz (December birthstone, mine is the March aqua) and there were so many pretty topaz stones.

I only hate yours, in a delightful twist of fate.

Diamonds are, I have found, something people who want to seem rich or “more loved” (which really is in response to the marketing) are snobs about. My Dad proposed to my Mother with a really beautiful, classic, timeless ring 50 years ago. Over one carat, round, perfect. Go look at a CZ discussion anywhere, people are
