When did the “tampon tax” become an issue about actual tax?
When did the “tampon tax” become an issue about actual tax?
I’m guessing because there’s a certain group of people who are generally respectful to their “equals” but love bossing around or degrading people they see as their servants - waitstaff, cashiers, people in a customer service position. Waiters get the brunt of it because they know they can’t mouth off to them and that…
One of my biggest red flags that this list is missing:
If they compare me to their ex more than a couple of times.
I was guilty of doing that myself when I first started dating after getting dumped by my first long-term partner, so I understand why people do that. But I quickly course-corrected after my date gently…
My experience was the opposite—my feet grew half a size the first time I was (unsuccessfully) pregnant and stayed that way through a couple more false starts. After finally having a kid, they’re back down to my old size and every pair I’ve bought in the past 5 years is too big.
Your blood volume increases and your blood also has to start circulating through the placenta, as well as all kinds of hormone level shifts, up and down, and it really can be a rollercoaster.
But it’s not just the Oscars! It’s NFL games and elections and every NBC Live! Musical!
Maybe if you’re exceptionally lazy. If it starts early afternoon rather than late, everybody can watch at a sane hour.
Maybe if they started it earlier. If the ceremony ends at nearly midnight, the 6 AM alarm feels a bit rushed.
Great can they also start the show ACTUALLY at 8pm instead of that stupid pre-show? Anyone not on the West coast need to go to work in the morning!
Well said! I felt bad for my wife because, if she followed all the uncorroborated studies of things bad for pregnant women, she’d be eating organic beets and nothing else. Everything is a danger!!! Fish, deli meats, tap water, sugar...it’s inconceivable that we’ve made it this many millions of years.
It does make me wonder, if these first 2-3 weeks of development are so sensitive and most women don’t know they are pregnant and are drinking wouldn’t it stand to reason that most babies would have FAS if this were true?
I was absolutely plastered the night before I found out I was pregnant with my first. As I was bawling in the OB’s office, thinking I had damaged my developing baby for life, the nurse said to me “it’s fine, how do you think most babies are conceived anyway? i went on roller coasters the night before i found out i was…
I think this is an interesting perspective.
Just got a question sent to me from a reader: “When I go to the doctor I often have a litany of things to talk about. I don’t want to seem like a hypochondriac but I also would like to hear my concerns addressed. Even if it’s for trivial matters and just normal conditions I’m unaware of that give me anxiety. So, is…
That is interesting, now if I could combine a meal planning system with a pantry/fridge inventory system (to know what I have on hand) and anylist to generate the shopping list I would have the “home of the future” fridge.
Just took a look at the two of them in comparison.
Shows what he knows. She’s running for office so she gets to spend three nights in a hotel and gets some sleep.
“Polished appearance” = we only hire thin, conventionally attractive white people
The absolute worst: “Other duties as assigned.”
Whenever the company name isn’t actually listed I always think that they probably have something to hide and refuse to apply.
