Maybe they'll make a real sports car now, not just a good chassis
New sports cars might actually be irrelevant to people my age because they cost too damn much. A BRZ should be under $20k. It has nothing of note in the "costs a lot to build" over a $19k Jetta, yet if you actually get one you'd want, it's close to $30k. That's bullshit. Say all you want about driving dynamics,…
Why even buy the BOSS? Just get a GT with the track pack w/ Recaros and throw basic bolt ons at it. 570 horse is nice, but a good exhaust and tune is still plenty fast. Plus that way you don't have to get a hood scoop or stupid stripes. You might even have enough money left over for a winter tire/wheel set up.
No sport seat and it says it's been resprayed twice. I can't go full crack pipe because it looks nice otherwise, but I'd probably say $6000 tops. This one even has the same wheels, but it's a bit pricier
Meh, funny idea, poor execution. Plus I had to listen to reggae... barf.
It's the indian not the arrrow
If you're talking Subaru turbo motor, sure, it will be an awful turd. However, living at a mile high in elevation precludes me from buying the car entirely. If people think it's slow near sea level, just imagine it at 8,000 feet trying to climb a mountain pass. It can be done, but any of the new turbo hatches make…
For the people commenting on the maintenance... It's an M5. Guess what the rebuild costs on the original motor?
Jag S-Type R hands down best version of an awful car
Owned a Miata and the novelty wore quickly. Adding a turbo made it interesting for slightly longer, but it's not a difficult car to master which is part of it's appeal/fatal flaw. Snooze fest after the initial "OMG RWD!!!!11!!!!1!!" wears off.
So you took a poll from a sample group that have zero experience with either car. WOWZERS! I'm betting if you ask people that have driven or owned both, the answer would be a lot more complicated than a "yes" or "no" on an anonymous online poll.
I tell everyone to buy whatever they like the most. Every single car has a major flaw IMO and you might as well be happy in between repairs.
That's what those cars are selling for with that low of miles. It's still going to need front control arms and probably a couple other things... Maybe even a clutch. As long as the oil has been changed on time or quicker the timing chain tensioners shouldn't explode. I say the price is fine, but I'd still offer $15k
The interior to be on par with a base model Golf at least? It's the same price as a GTI though, so it should at least be that good. That's my complaint about any car that isn't a VW/Audi though.
I'm 30 and don't really ever plan on buying a new car. Why would I when I can get a two to five year old car for much much less? I'd love a new Mustang GT w/ a 6 speed and brembo brakes, but I can just wait two or three years until it's "obsolete" and buy one for much less.
MKI Audi TT for a dail driver. Essentially a dirt cheap R32 with a better motor. I even like the way it looks... with a hot chic in it.
As long as it's a well designed IRS, I'm for it. Turns out, you can make really bad independent suspension.
Well one car is one of the best handling cars of all time and the other is a snap oversteer japanese pile. Oh gee what a difficult choice.
Well, they didn't use the word "bespoke" in any of the desciptions. That's refreshing.
