It’s not surprising that the composer would claim not to have been aware of “When Worlds Collide,” but the imitation is pretty blatant. You could almost overlook it if not for the “This is Halloween” rip-off. After hearing both of these, I have to wonder if Soken isn’t flat-out lying...

Thanks for this list! I lol’ed a lot! I’ve always loved Australian animals. I have to say, though, you don’t give kangaroos enough credit. One gave me a hug once. It was amazing.

Glad this is changing. I’ve long argued that Yes/No is just a review score with way less granularity — basically, you’re taking away the reader’s ability to set their own threshold for ‘should I play?’ by using that system. I still think it’s dumb that you don’t use review scores, but at least you’ve realized that you

Way to kill VR, Oculus. </gut-reaction>

i don’t know, that score sounds pretty pricey

oh, nice work, old navy. much better.

“...those arbitrary numbers that offer zero value to readers, kill thoughtful discussion, and encourage the quantitative comparison of games that can’t be compared?”

this is amazing, but also hilariously stupid in the mundane experiences they chose to emulate. what’s happening IRL is way more exciting and interesting than what they’re pretending to do in that VR headset!

FYI, while Best Buy’s iPad Minis may be sold out, Target will price match BestBuy.com. With a Red Card, you can get an additional 5% off. (If you shop at Target and don’t have a Red Card, I highly recommend it. The one I use isn’t a credit card, but a check card. 5% off everything at Target. So awesome.) Just picked

looks pretty amazing to me thus far!

i know this is all really subjective, but for people interested in looking past some of the AAA garbage there are much better games on the PS4 than are on this list:

questions like this discount the art direction, story, music, and a dozen other aspects of the game as worthless.

pretty sure this is good news.

We play games because we enjoy it. I say, so long as you're not robbing another player of his fun, play whatever way is most enjoyable to you. If exploiting glitches is what's fun to you, that's a valid way to play. If doing so is less fun, don't go that route. I don't know how useful it is to categorize one approach

They should really just call the game 'Slugcat'

Yuck, Nintendo. Just yuck.

I played Grim Fandango for the first time on PS4. I loved it.

A score is so much more useful than a binary yes/no rating. Even better would be both. I love this site, but I find its rating system to be useless. For someone like myself with limited time, I find the reviewers to be way too lenient.

lol @ "let's call them turok"

lmao, so glad i wasn't watching this live. i'm actually psyched about this! looking forward to playing ffvii again on my couch with hardware acceleration and at a higher resolution (hopefully 1080p?). i always enjoy playing the pc release, but also generally find pc gaming a lot more cumbersome than console gaming.
