yes! i really hope this idea catches on. i've been wishing i could play mario kart 8 at 1080p, especially since there's no anti-aliasing. considering it runs at about 60 fps currently, this should totally be an option. thanks for bringing this up, mike!

the graphics look impressive. the gameplay? not so much.

the same thing happened to the music industry when it became cheap and easy to build a home studio. more games means more good games and more people making a living doing what they love. the good stuff will rise to the top. AAA will sell less, but overall people will spend more on games. this is good for everybody.

The only downside to online multiplayer (and multiplayer in general) was Mario Kart 8's Battle Mode. I have to admit, I don't get it either. I was expecting this trailer to have much more interesting music, considering Guthrie's score seems to be such a significant part of this game.
