This is just ridiculous.... I mean it’s a game for fuck’s sake and i love games as much as the next guy/gal, but really? Are these really adult people? How do they even function in society is probably the bigger question.
Just because they aren’t cramming convoluted JRPG-Walls of Text down your throat, or forcing long cinematics, doesn’t mean there’s no story. They tell just enough to justify the game play. My theory is that the DOOM marine himself forged his armor in Hell. He went in with green armor, it would make sense that he would ‘modify’ it to keep his quest moving forward - or like you said, someone in hell helped him out for unknown reasons.
Maybe it was based off of the original doom suit? I mean if he was wearing it when he came to hell, it makes sense who ever made the new suit would make him something in a similar fashion.
But at least it was hella fun to read.
So I’ve decided to start a new game on the ultra-violence mode, and as I watched the scene where the Doom Slayer puts his helmet on you can see for a split second that the initial boot-up language in the helmet is home sort of hieroglyphic language that immediately translates to English a split second later.
