That’s why they do it; to remove her personhood and existence, her very face. If he can’t “have” her, he’ll make sure no one else will ever want her either. It’s an attempt to wipe out the existence of a woman who rejected him. It’s sociopathic beyond belief.

yea, scummy behavior, but can you say that her consent was invalid?
The problem is we live in a society where consent isnt clearly defined, and as the OP said, we need to do a lot more to avoid situations like this by teaching a better understanding of consent

Three full terms and part of a fourth.

President H Clinton: Worst case scenario, Hillary dies from pneumonia and we get President Kaine.

Almost four terms.

Looks like Trump is backing out of the debate.

you're really reaching and terribly boring. Can you just go away?

Wow, what are you talking about? There were a lot of ways Austrian civilians could have died during World War II. Could have died in a concentration camp. Could have died in the U.S. bombing of Vienna. Could have been killed by shelling of the Soviet 3rd Ukranian Front the the early April 1945 campaign in Austria.

go fuck yourself.

Bad troll. Go back to your bridge.

It isn’t assault because she said it was not assault, and viewed it as a happy event.

Probably because she flat out said she didn’t see it as assault. If she was fine with it, then I’m fine with it.

I thought that too, boo, and I would never have thought to google it to see if there was any other story that two people being reunited. You gotta dust off the snark on other people's replies to you on this site lol

I always hated the phrase “a picture says a thousand words”, because the “truth” is often not apart of them, but this is an apt example of why that phrase is true. There are so many ways to read the photo. The one people take away has little to do with what is actually happened. We put our ideals onto the photo.

What I used to like about this picture was thinking that during the parade thus sailor had recognized his girlfriend and rushed over to kiss her. The real story isn’t horrible but it’s hardly romantic enough to make this an event to remember.

Who the fuck are you to be white-knighting for her? And how the fuck do you know that she didn’t like this? Your response is exactly what I mentioned to some Facebook friends who mentioned this as to why there will never be a picture like it ever again-people like you would just lose their minds and attack it for no

I was just describing my own thoughts/experience regarding the photo, and admitting out loud that my opinion was formed without knowing what the original caption was. I wasn’t demanding that anyone google anything for me. I didn’t realize every comment posted on here must be done only after Google searching every

For many years I thought the photo depicted a sailor being reunited with his love interest after leaving her to go off to war. I’m guessing most people assumed this and thought it was sweet, hence the popularity of the photo. Not sure how Life described the photo at the time, though.

Cue the dipshits calling this woman a victim of assault...

“by his logic”? That’s a lot of assumptions about how the incident went down. If this was a white director, would you be so willing to give the benefit to just one half of the “he said, she said”?
