First of all, the “local” isn’t keeping 100% of your dues, its going somewhere else and then probably into someone’s pocket. How do huge unions back anything up? If all the workers walk out of the plant, what is the BIG BAD UNION going to do to help?

Its not that its too sensitive, its that the pedal is dead for 3/4 of the travel so the car does well on the EPA mileage test. You, as a human, instinctively push that pedal until it starts to go, so its more of an off/on switch than a graduated throttle pedal.

Seats aren’t that hard to skin. Just cut about 20 hog rings after you disassemble the seat base. Its a little fiddly, but its in no way all that hard. I replaced the hog rings with zip ties because no one is going to see it.
