Yeah, if I recall correctly from the E3 streams that's the spotting animation. There are a few other nice additions I noticed, now they say things like " Enemy sniper north of our position" or "we have capture objective bravo", radio messages give more info, I liked this a lot but haven't seen anyone pointing it out.

Either that or the squad commander issuing orders.
