I hear North Korea is beautiful this time of year.

“high-quality shows with stars and broad appeal, but it doesn’t want gratuitous sex, profanity or violence.”

Random anecdote. Wife and I went to test drive an Acura RDX a few years ago and the Acura car sales man talked about his dream of owning a BMW M3 E36 the entire time. I didn’t learn anything from the test drive except that the RDX had a very non-luxury Honda interior, and that our Acura sales guy was never going to

To be honest I prefer my car loans 30 year fixed. It’s only $50 a month! (For the rest of my life)

I second the iPad Pro. You’ll get an ARM CPU that actually outperforms quite a few Core i5’s.

Rivian has advertised they will go up to 400 miles on a single charge (not sure how much that drops when towing). Regarding charging once you’re there, that’s a very good question, and can only really be solved by having a robust charging network. So in that regard, the Tesla truck would have a big leg up if you’re

Rivian R1T will be starting at $69K, Tesla has stated they’re trying to get their truck below $50K. Of course this all yet to be seen, and those are base models, but that’s what they’ve publicly stated regarding price. I think the best way to convert the truck loyalist is to simply win on economics. You may love your

Tesla is working on a pick-up truck, and Rivian will be producing their pick-up next year.  They may not start out “affordable”, but then again, most pick-ups are being sold at 50K+, so they’ve all gotten expensive at this point.

This is correct. I was interested in buying a CPO 911 in about a year or so. But with the Porsche Taycan coming out next month, and the fact that you can get 10K in Fed/State tax credits, and the fact that an electric car costs about $12 to “fill-up” at home vs. $50 for a tank of premium unleaded in CA, going electric

I’ve been seriously considering the same and switching to an iPad Pro for work. The biggest selling point alone is Face ID and instantly unlocking your iPad. On my MBP I have to login with my Active Directory credentials and then FileVault literally takes a minute to decrypt the drive. 1 minute login vs. instant.

Same thing can be said of pretty much any genre, where a latecomer nails the right formula and makes billions off of it. Ala World of Warcraft, and the 30 MMOs that came before it that it “copied”. I’m pretty sure Blizzard feels really bad about how unoriginal they were.

There was a study on fatalities in SUVs vs. cars (sorry I’m forgetting the source) and basically the conclusion was exactly as you stated, you’re still about as likely to die in a SUV, but now the downside is you’re especially likely to die if you’re in a small car getting hit by a big behemoth.  So overall we’re just

In college I drove a 1994 Corolla.  I can confirm that I would have blown up in that car.  Probably didn’t help that the gas tank leaked too.

We’re going through an escalating SUV Cold War. The first people who bought Hummers started a vicious cycle where everyone else feels less safe on the road with giant 2.5 ton vehicles zooming around. So you either have to buy a big car too or risk getting T boned and your little 2002 Accord literally blows up.

This. I’m not sure how people aren’t understanding how huge of game changer that is. The current model is, you spend $300-$400 for a console, and then on top of that you buy games for $60. The new model is, you spend $100 for a controller and a Chromecast, or just use any computer you have access to for $0 upfront,

So now I can sign up for a service by looking at my phone and Apple won’t whore out all my personal information and track what I’m doing?  This feature is very underrated.

What I don’t get is they just had to use Space Gray aluminum and it would significantly improved the aesthetics from “literally a cheese grater” to “a computer that kind of resembles a cheese grater”.

You are correct. I think 14K watts would require at least 240V triple phase.  Which means you couldn’t plug that thing in anywhere.

Pretty good start. After getting used to my 2018 iPad Pro for casual use, using a MacBook Pro is so subpar so I’m hoping to replace it soon for all my work tasks. MBP will drain a full battery in a few hours if Google Drive or Outlook feel ornery that day, and if you simply sleep the laptop it will be dead within a
