Believe it or not even well off people don’t like wasting money.

I agree that buying a new EV, when you weren’t planning to buy a new car, is most definitely not going to save any money. But I was already planning to buy a new car in a year or two, so if it’s between spending money on a gas powered car, or an EV, electric would definitely save me a bunch of money over 5 years.

What’s the math if I spent $42K on my car and now on top of that I’m spending $50 per fill-up?  I think I’m at negative $15,000.  :(

There’s actually a lot places that offer free charging around LA. So there’s that. But charging at home, it’s about $0.13 per kWh, so about $12 to charge an EV for 300 miles of use.  $38 less than filling up on Premium Unleaded.

Dayam, it’s no wonder European’s are falling over themselves to buy EVs, if gas cost $12 a gallon I would have lost my mind.

A4 is definitely a compact, at least by US standards. A6 is mid-size, and A8 is in the large class. I’d rather buy a an EV if I’m tired of gas prices, 30 cents saved per gallon is not much when we’re talking $5 per gallon.

I just paid $50 to fill up my compact Audi A4 with Premium Unleaded. At this rate my next car will definitely be an EV because it just feels like I’m throwing money away at this point.

They’re definitely working on a new battery pack for the Model S/X and that should be a huge improvement. This seems like a small update meant to try to boost the tanking sales on the S/X. Rumors are, new battery pack and interior are coming later this year.

You have a very active imagination.

I wasn’t a fan of the new GLE interior (massive air vents?) so I’m surprised they literally copied that exact interior on the top tier GLS.

Console Peasants: WOW THEY PUT IN A SSD, WHAT AN AMAZING CUTTING EDGE STORAGE DEVICE!

I’m still leaning towards getting a Chase Unlimited and using those points combined with a Chase Sapphire Reserved. Comes out to about 2.25% cashback, on all purchases, if you redeem them for travel (or even more if you transfer them to certain partner airlines).

By far the most interesting thing they announced was the WiFi controller that connects directly to the Google Data Centers. That alone should eliminate at least some of the latency issues of prior platforms. It takes time for a standard Bluetooth controller to recognize the input, send the signal over 2.4 Ghz,

There’s always at least one person freaking out every time there’s new pictures of a mule in camo.

Breaking out 2.4 and 5 Ghz into separate SSIDs is great if you really want to micro manage which band your devices connect on, but it’s not so great if you have a phone or tablet that moves around the house. It removes the ability for your mobile device to switch to 2.4 Ghz if the 5 Ghz signal deteriorates in certain

Sounds like it’s every automaker except high end brands like Porsche/Ferrari/McLaren. Wealthiest benefited the most from tax cuts so they have no issue with continuing to buy cars so all those companies are actually seeing sale increases across the board.

The reason you couldn’t find non-hard plastic was that you were only looking at Japanese “luxury” brands. Yes their reliability is amazing but they’re also light years behind Mercedes and Audi when it comes to interior quality.

No actual advantages of 992 S over 991.2 S you say?

It would be my daily driver. I live in LA though so no concerns about weather. But If you get snow often can always get a 4S. Should look up Nick Murray on YouTube he’s taken his 911 4S out in the snow a few of times, looked fun.
