Economic conservatism is as bad or worse? Your neighbor to the north (Canada) has done pretty well with a combination of social liberalism and fiscal conservatism.

You should read up on these legal terms you throw around. An attorney has absolute privilege in a judicial proceeding, so they can't "slander" someone through the defense they present.

I pointed this out in response to another poster, but an attorney can't just present evidence of their at trial. They just ask questions and do not actively present their own opinions (a jury cannot consider a question as evidence).

Yes, that was the OP's point that I was reiterating.

If you read more closely he just said blacks and Latinos aren't going to bother voting in numbers if Hilary is the Dem option.

What the hell are you talking about? Trayvon had this exact "he had it coming to him" shit happen to him when he was murdered. With any crime, if a defense lawyer can raise that defense, they do.

The attorney is not allowed to give evidence in the case, and can't make a closing argument for which she has introduced no evidence. Clinton's own personal feelings on this victim would not go before a jury.

What happens at the end of your pipe dream when the GOP sweeps?

The US does have the Civil Rights Act, which means that prosecutors can take action against housing and other forms of discrimination. A person can also easily sue (and win) over cases of sex discrimination.

I know that foreigners are routinely discriminated against in housing and the workplace and that whatever constitutional protections are in place are weak or not enforced. The US State Department describes it thus:

Well, luckily the earth has enough area for 18 acres for all seven billion of us, but only if we cover every bit of surface from pole to pole...

Though you must realize as a foreigner you have no civil rights protection stopping someone from discriminating against you in housing, employment, etc. Why anyone would willingly emigrate to somewhere with such a backward attitude toward immigration escapes me.

Japan's foreign-born population is less than two percent of the country population and it has no civil rights laws protecting foreigners (or anyone for that matter) from discrimination in housing, etc. It's backward.

Dude, our? Are you a Japanese citizen?

If you bring up your wife at an interview and you're male, you're implicitly saying you have a heterosexual sex life.

You wish married straight people wouldn't wear wedding bands or talk about their children, trips to see the mother-in-law at Thanksgiving, the odd gripe about the wife? Is that actually what you want or do you just want to pretend gays don't exist?

That part is a little silly. Maybe the "Roman Catholic" part softened the blow for him ("Oh, she's just a goy anyway.")

You let the terrorists win.

Who would even want to be king of Gatineau?

Jews who want to date other jews.
