Best example of BS that I’ve encountered while trying to trade in a car, was a dealership was trying to really undercut me on a trade. They were only going to give me $10k for a car that Kelly Blue Book had listed for $17k. When we brought it up the sales manager he said,“Well Kelly Blue Book isn’t buying the car, we

The last car we bought, we traded in and bought a new one. The sales manager would not budge on the trade of the old car, they were only going to give like $10k and the car was selling for almost $15k, I only wanted $12.5k.

I had something very similar happen to me...

Oh hell no. Totally agree.

Okay, I just remembered something. It did go out a few times during a storm... I remember getting pissed and yelling at the TV cause I was doing the same thing (trying to look at the weather) and my wife goes, “Ummm, I figured out why it’s not working...” So I go over to the window: “Oh, that’s a tornado...”

Whoa! That’s a big price tag.

That is a very similar story that I hear ALL the time. And it’s unfortunate. I’ve been very lucky, and every time I’ve had uVerse it’s been amazing. Any issues I’ve had, were resolved quickly or it was something I caused on my own.

They don’t pay that much for these boxes. That’s how much “we” would pay if they were retail. These things cost maybe $5 a piece. They order so many of them in bulk they get them for next to nothing from the manufacture.

This sounds really good. I had a bad run in with DirecTV a few years back. I went to Best Buy, paid $200 for HD Receiver. Then, when I canceled my service, they told me I needed to give my receiver back.

Yeah, they’ll keep the internet and ditch the cable box. As long as your installer does a good job, then you shouldn’t have any issues with weather. The last dish I had only lost service once, and that was when there was 3 inches of ice on the dish and the weight of all the ice caused it to bend one of the legs.

This is correct, and I totally agree. They are currently training all the uVerse installers to install Dishes, and they are already started to hand out dishes to people automatically if they don’t specify. The uVerse TV, imo, sucks... DirecTV on the other hand, is AMAZING!

I was pissed when I moved because I was grandfathered in when the first launched and did not have to pay a rental fee. Then my account got “messed up” during the move and they had to create me a new one. It was not intentionally, the order was placed wrong and got stuck in pending or some shit. Anyway, now I’m paying

I have AT&T Next. I get a new phone every 12 months, and with the discounts with having NEXT, its still cheaper than the post-paid plans (contract), even when paying the finance / lease fees a month.

We would always have some type of backup power source.

It’s a great reminder of what happens when private organizations / Government are allowed to regulate things like the sun.

When we buy our next house, this is something we are going to look at before purchasing. Make sure we are the right angle to maximize the sun to roof ratio.

We’ll always need a source of backup power. And you are right, most people either don’t have the roof space, trees over their house or roof pointed the wrong way.

Okay, assfucker, what’s your alternate option? Give me an option to get to work, 20 miles away when there is no public transportation? Move closer to work? Pay 5x more in fucking rent / housing costs so I don’t have a fucking car for transportation? Why don’t you pull your fucking head out of your ass and think that

There are ways we could transport goods throughout the country without clogging the roads with semi’s. They did in way back in the day, I think.... Correct me if I’m wrong but it was called a train. Then goods were unloaded from said train and put onto smaller trucks for local delivery.

PeaPod (or some other type of grocery delivery). I buy only what is on my list, and I know exactly what I am getting.
