I haven’t read the novelization. I’m OK with the gaps I had to fill in on my own. Go back and watch A New Hope. Unexplained references abound.

There’s two more films in which to address various unexplainables. That which goes unexplained? Not big enough to ruin my enjoyment.

Oh but it totally isn’t. Picked it up thinking it would be a fun read that would explain more but it’s literally just an authors version of the screenplay. Word for word.
